Tyler Boshae – Tourette Syndrome – Fundraiser Video from Tim Danyo on Vimeo.
Welcome to the Tyler Boshae Foundation! Our organization was established for the purpose of raising funds to help bring relief to Tyler Boshae (age 25) who has suffered with Tourette Syndrome since age 9. Since then neurologists have attempted to manage his condition with medication, which only occasionally reduced his symptoms somewhat. Many times Tyler’s symptoms have caused severe injury, or have deteriorated to the point where he had to be hospitalized. (most recently in July, and again in December)
Tyler has been approved to be evaluated to receive a special brain surgery to implant electrodes to help reduce his tics. This procedure is called DBS-Deep Brain Stimulation. View our blog for more up to date information
Ty has no insurance, and Medicaid will not help as long as the procedure is not approved specifically for Tourette Syndrome. The Foundation has set a goal of $200,000 to cover the surgery and all related expenses such as travel and followup care. As of now, we have collected $128,000 toward that goal!
